Please don't attempt to read into my post that I insinuated that ICASA was witholding information for any reason.
@PJK
Your allegations about Icasa having shut down any of Screamers operations are complete fabrications and are obviously designed, as your first post, to try and elicit some kind of industry reaction. Our competitors are constantly making these kinds of allegations to try and find out what Screamers strategies are, but they won't work.
The only truth in your post is that we have been operating (and growing) our WiMAX network for the past 2.5 years and the fact that there has been no reaction from ICASA to it must mean that there is some legality to the spectrum usage.
As our CEO noted in the article there has not been public disclosure about the "arrangements" due to strategic reasons, which every company is entitled to, but he will be in a position to make some announcement in about 60 days time.
Being inquisitive, we have studied the Screamer-Sentech relationship and found out as follows:
Three of Screamer's x-branches have provided us with copies of the GWI-Sentech agreement. It seems a main copy was out less than 2 years back when Screamer had supposedly maltreated some of the former GWI staff in an effort to force them to resign.
The x-branches have noted that the agreement with Sentech was ended when Gavin Hart worked out previous BEE partners without proper contribution. It seems one of those BEE partners had been behind the realization of the Sentech-GWI agreement and so arranged the immediate cancellation of the agreement in 2007.
The agreement states that GWI shall use the Sentech 2.6GHz spectrum to provide services and pay royalties to Sentech. We state 2.6GHz to confirm that we have indeed read the agreement; the agreement states 2.6GHz to represent the 2.5-2.6GHz frequency range.
We have found out from one of Screamer's existing branches that Screamer still continues to charge its branches for "Sentech license fees" through Screamer monthly invoices to the branches. Screamer actually utilizes the words "Sentech Fees" on those invoices till date.
So Howzit, Howzthat for a knock? Anything to declare? or the same old excuse, MUM?
TFEH!
