Win 10 numlock disabled after boot - a solution in case you also suffer this

After carrying out a major Windows 10 update, my numlock key was disabled after booting.

The fix for this is one of those really weird Microsoft settings: disabling fast startup fixes the problem and to change fast startup one needs to go into the power settings!
