Enterprises have paid a per monthly/quarterly/annual figure per seat for a long damn time.

I called it!! I fcking called it in 2014 one of my first posts when Windows 8.1 came to be.

It would not surprise me if Microsoft introduces Win 10 as a subscription to normal users by June 2017.

If the price was good it wouldn't bother me. Adobe CC Photography has been awesome for me and probably for Adobe too. Same goes for Office 365, Spotify, Netflix etc.

Times are changing. Access to content is no different to ownership for most people if it is a more cost effective alternative.
