Windows 10 Microsoft Print to PDF printer output

Is there a way of choosing the destination location when using this printer? The generic Documents folder is inconvenient.

And, yes I'm aware that there are other pdf printers which DO allow this.

Yes. The save where? dialogue comes up just like save as. You're not doing it right...

Thanks, you're correct, I wasn't and it works fine on retrying. No idea what I did to break it!
