Man but your ARE lucky, what a bargain upgrade! I refuse to be envious, but my 640 XL screen is still bigger than yours :)

Size isn't everything, it's how you use it that counts :p

I would recommend anybody with a 930 that has the same problem to take it in for "repairs".
Free upgrade ftw!

hahaha what is the problem again? the sound? if so then I don't have the problem :(
But my upgrade is in June anyways. Speaking off... I actually don't know if I will go with the 950/XL

My mics where broken so couldn't record sound in videos, couldn't voice record or do speaker phone calling under WM10.

Look, it's a huge improvement over my 930. Much faster and a lot smoother. Removable battery and micro sd is a big bonus.
But tbh, I don''t know if I would have replaced my 930 with the 950 when upgrading end of the year.
Would have kept the 930, it does everything I wanted, and got a android to play around with & for the apps missing on WM.

Its such a pity Windows Mobile is fading into nothingness, i worked on my old Lumia yesterday again, Windows 10 is really not a bad operating system, Its actually a pleasure working on the phone. Its smooth and fast. The apps works brilliantly, The Email client is MUCH MUCH better than that of IOS/Android.
If they just moved away from the stupid "live tiles" / "fugly Start Menu" and took a page from IOS/Android in the sense of sliding menu's and normal icons, They would have been much better off.

Totally agree, it feels so disorganized when I assist droid-bots with their phones, which is unfortunately in the majority. Also don't like the live tiles, but do adore the transparency! Regarding the future, interesting read: Microsoft's Terry Myerson 'committed' to Windows 10 Mobile for 'many years'

I actually just think it's nothing to do with design. There is just not any room for a 3rd OS it seems.

Naaaa man, there is room for a 3rd OS. Its definitely the design, have you worked on Windows 8/8.1/10 ?, the whole Windows mobile is based on this design, and its a rubbish design. I'm not sure if Microsoft actually thinks we enjoy working on Windows 8/8.1/10 and that we love it so much we want it on our cellphones as well.....
Truth is we use Windows since we don't really have a choice and not because we love the design so much. in the cellphone market we actually have choice hence no one taking their kark Windows mobile design.
All they have to do is revert back to normal looking icons, and a menu that slides.
Windows Mobile has the engine, The software is brilliant, The idea is brilliant, the integration is brilliant, they just need to make it pretty so that people actually buys into it.

Yet the reason I chose to replace my L920 (WP8.1) with the L950 (W10M) was because of the design. I hate the dated look of iOS and Android.

Was a big android fan till I bought a bargain 2nd hand Lumia 1520. Hooked on that phone for 2+ years. Now on a 950XL and still a very satisfied user. Love the simplicity of winmo and that camera. The 1520 house a great camera but it fell far short comparing to the camera on the 950XL.

I love the WM design... It's definitely one of the best. The only thing that I wasn't happy about is the number of bugs 10 had.

My IE was almost useless and there were quite a few other things I had issues with. The quality of some apps (Tapatalk) are rather poor.

Yeah thanks for the other guys coming to my rescue, was gonna post a reply saying maybe I'm the only one but I actually like the WP8/WM10 design. I do not like the Android UI at all, Although I've seen some really nice looking Cyanogen UIs on my friends OnePlus, which if anything happens to WM, I might settle on.

I liked the WM interface on my 1320 at first but the phone was sadly crippled by bugs. The most frustrating was the lockscreen bug where every 2nd or 3rd time I would need to lock the screen again, wait 10 seconds and unlock to get it to respond to my swipe.

This gets annoying fast if you have to unlock your phone 200 times a day to respond to messages.

I seriously don't know how you guys like the design, i wont say i absolutely hate it, But I don't like it, You just get the feeling you are being limited (which is not the case, but that's the feeling you get having only 1 page). And i don't know if this makes sense, but Android/IOS feels like a more "fun" OS. The Icons and menu's are better animated.
Plus the live tiles, Its probably not a bad idea, but it just does not work for me. the re-sizing of icons just does not feel right.
I know its different strokes for different okes, But the fact that WM is dying is proof that most people agrees with me, the whole OS just feels wrong, i cant put my finger on it. Like moving from Windows 7 to windows 8....

I noticed recently that a lot of apps are moving away from the hamburger menu style towards something like WP with the menu items being in the bottom row.

I only have one page on my iPhone as well and only one screen on an Android when I have one. I like the simplicity. WM is very simplistic and that what I like about it. The only reason I sold my 640XL was due to the number of bugs in the OS
