So I finished my install of Win10M on my Lumia 930 via Insider, and even on build .107 i could record videos with sound.
I'm on .164 now, so will quit the insider program and move back to prod.

Please tell me how to quit the insider program on the 1520?

Any 1320 owners on here? I'm currently on one of the preview builds but I'd be keen tl downgrade to 8.1 and then up to 10 when it's officially released

I recall reading somewhere that the 1320 isn't supported for Win10M upgrade.

If true, it's a damn disgrace. Part of the promise of WP was upgradeability, and to renege on that is a betrayal. Of course I know you can't always install the latest OS on ancient hw, but the 1320 is not that old.

The preview seems to be running OK on mine with a dual core CPU and 1GB RAM. But I agree, I do feel a bit left out. It's not a dealbreaker for me but for a company that touts upgrades this isn't sitting well with me

Jip, 1GB devices should have been upgradable but for some reason the 1320 got left behind. My 1320 will be 2 years old next month but I will only get a new phone when it dies or until whatsapp stops supporting windows mobile 8.

Blame fellow 1320 users :p Reasons been all over review sites/twitter. They left out most the xx20 models due to poor feedback from insiders that reported endless issues with win10 on their devices.

Only upgrading the devices that does not affect the user experience ( well from insiders feedback anyway )

Great to hear. Maybe its just my phone and the mics # 3&4 that is stuffed.
Will upgrade again and see what happens...

This makes sense, I actually tried to upgrade once probably a year ago and it failed completely. I did not try again as I decided to wait for more stable builds or the official release.

After installing the Upgrade Advisor my 1520 finds the update and is now upgrading.

About to try the Insider Preview on L920 and L520.

Feedback on L520 please. I have one that serves as a GPS/dashcam/in car wifi hotspot.

How is it as a dashcam? I use my L520 as a GPS, was playing with the idea of also using it as my dashcam but a proper dashcam seems better with crash video recording and co-ordinate tagging and stuff.

Mine is fine?

I did it in Q4 last year and it really made it much slower. On the previous build I tried it was even worse. Maybe it's improved now :)

Will give it a shot later this week - works beautifully on my 640 XL

It works but all you get is time and date. Maybe an app in store? If not an opportunity for a clever youngster like you.;)

As of today I have gone back to Windows 8.1. I was running The Insider preview on my 1320 but found it very unreliable and sluggish.

I made the unfortunate mistake of forgetting to backup my SMS messages and I lost a few contacts, but nothing serious and the apps can at least be downloaded

Lumia 640. Mostly happy with the upgrade.

- Upgrade process was very easy although it took quite a while as after the actual upgrade, it went and re-installed all my apps.
- Styling is excellent - it looks far more polished, it really looks so much better than 8 did.
- The core applications are generally much better than 8 - Mail (now Outlook Mail), Calendar (now Outlook Calendar), Maps, File Explorer, Edge (replacing IE) - All major improvements over their predecessors.
- Most small apps load quicker than they did before although I have noticed that when you click back, not all applications close anymore - more like Android / IOS where they keep running instead of being closed.
- However large apps (games) take a little bit longer to load and one of the games is noticeably slower
- Also started getting a strange error now where I play the same XBOX live game on my PC and phone and it now tells me I'm logged in on multiple devices even after closing the game on my phone.
- Battery life seems to have taken a bit of a knock, but it could just be me playing around with the new phone more often - will keep an eye on it.
