Hello All

As in Title, I keep on having random blue screen of death crashes with the error code: "RDR_FILE_SYSTEM on rdbss.sys".

Have done a bit of googling and have disabled my Syncplicity, Microsoft Security Essentials and OneDrive yet still random crashes. I have 16GB Ram and the Ram is brand new, could it be faulty Ram ?

Any ideas or diagnostics I could run please would be greatly appreciated?

Bug Check 0x27: RDR_FILE_SYSTEM
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff557446(v=vs.85).aspx

Looks like it can be the new memory. 16 gig is it 2 x 8 or 4 x 4. Is it the same brand or mix. 1st go to bios and set memory frequency to AUTO. Maybe this helps.

Thanks DanDango

I see
Resolution

To debug this problem: Use the .cxr (Display Context Record) command with Parameter 3, and then use kb (Display Stack Backtrace).
To resolve a nonpaged pool memory depletion problem: Add new physical memory to the computer. This will increase the quantity of nonpaged pool memory available to the kernel.
from https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...(v=vs.85).aspx

My current Memory stats:

ram.PNG

I see Paged Pool 310MB and Non-Paged Pool 135MB so that seems a little low right?

The Ram modules inserted are both Kingston 2 x 8GB 1.35V DDR3L which replaced a 1 x 4GB Samsung module with the same specs as replacement. The laptop is a HP Probook 450 G2

Going to have a look in Bios setup now and try as you advised.
