Windows 10 Search Issue

This last update just messed with my PC and made searching for stuff difficult. The search feature hangs/freezes.

Lately Microsoft are just dropping balls all over the place. That file deletion bug was a huge **** up and now people are having permissions problems with accounts. Are they in trouble maybe or going broke?
Far from going broke.
Microsoft income is at $530 per second.
Windows update issues do occur.
Some people are effected, others not.
It's been that way for ages.

The reality is that it will always be this way.
PCs are not one standard and all components and configurations differ.
This is where Apple have the upper hand.

Just how life is.

I just want a PC that works and for 10 years now I've not had that. It's been nothing but endless frustration with windows. I just want an alternative solution that I don't need to continually have to fix drivers or search for patches and updates. I want a PC where I don't have to turn it on every day wondering if it's going to work at all.

One of these days soon I'm going to drop off every PC I own at the landfill and go and look for a new career.

Do a dual boot with Ubuntu or any other Linux distribution you prefer.
It will take a day or two to set it up like you want it. When Windows is making you agro, just boot into Linux and get some chill time.

I have been using Windows since 3.1. My dad worked in Government and we always had a PC at home.
I'm a Windows lover at heart.
I do appreciate Linux though and I do enjoy using it too.

I like this idea. Will try Linux. I do love windows and always have but I'm getting older now and the patience level is not what it used to be lol. Thanks! I'll go and investigate this.

Cool. It's pretty easy with Ubuntu.
Mount the ISO in Windows. Start the setup and install it as dual boot from Windows.

Thankyou. I will try to make some time this weekend coming and try this.

I would like to try Linux, but am worried that it may clash with my Win10 2004. Is there a link or thread on exactly how to set it up and use it?

Quick update, did all the latest updates and the issue is resolved, no slow searches or anything though I do have an nvme.
