They can keep keep doing what they doing now, just give us an option to turn it off.

Like the second/third audio option in Windows 10. Easy to change.

They can remove/change all they want. Just give the option to undo things.

@Hellhound105 I hear you, Microsoft philosophy is give us less options, and "try" to anticipate more,
unfortunately they fail at both, and just make everything worse, like exactly what you mention.

Managed to install it on a 7 year old MB with no TPM and a non compliant CPU!

They didn't force anyone. They stopped support for it but you're welcome to install it today.

Well that's neither here nor there. One of the service packs limited the amount of memory to 4 GB total so people were forced to upgrade to Windows 7.

I am sure there will soon be a modded Windows 11 ISO that will run on anything without any of these artificial restrictions.

Already is. Just replace the Win 11 install file on a Win 10 setup. No need for all these elaborate tricks to get an upgrade.
