Windows 7 and 3Dmark05....

Just installed Win7 which is awsome! Not sure if mine is jsut broken, but I REALLY like the fact that new windows do not take focus (this alone is worth the price to me). Problem is that I went from 8400 on 3D mark to 7800. No big problem, just want to know if this has happened to anybody else?

7900GS, 4GB RAM, E6600....

While not answering your question, what are you doing benching that ancient card in a gaming bench...

Assuming that you do not game (graphicaly intensely) *due to outdated card* then 3DMark05 wont help you with anything...

besides, if you want you could up that score to 40k plus with a R1000 card...

It will help me just fine with my testing...

I don't want to up to 40k, I just want to test Windows 7....

I know that I could do better....

But what I want to know is whether anybody else has seen a decrease in performance Windows XP versus 7....
