WHo's aware that win7 caps your GPU?

not worth spending yer cash on the greatest gfx cards when win7 does this ****

Windows 7 needs one GB of RAM only for the operating system. Add to it, the resources required to run applications and you need to keep a minimum of 2GB RAM so that the system does not hang frequently. You also need to see if you are ready to invest in other hardware such as a graphics card, etc. Add to it, the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is capped at 80 percent in Windows 7. This means that you cannot use the GPU to its full capacity. Even Nvidia is working on its drivers to help Windows 7 in offering greater FPS (frames per second), necessary to enjoy real-time gaming while staying within the cap!

Strange I get the same or more FPS on win7 compared to Vista and XP.

Sounds like bull to me- thou I can believe this for lower end cards where it reserves gpu usage for aero?

Absolute bull.

I think Arun Kumar M doesn't know what he is talkng about.

Bool****. He doesnt know what he's talking about. Why is he pitching WinXP? Does he have some copies to sell?

64 bit windows runs everything. I've been running 64 bit for over 3 years without any problems, and Win7 is more compatible than Vista was.

EDIT: You cant install Adobe Flash on Win7 64? Oh noes, I better uninstall it from my home and work PCs!

ive read comments by people who have tested win 7 and xp and have gotten significantly lower fps on the win7

Thats not how GPUs work. For one thing, there arent many cases in which you would be rendering Aero and another 3D application at the same time. If that was the case, DirectX would take care of it anyway.

This guy is just a hack, ignore him. I cant even post a comment on the article to tell him what an idiot he is (the captcha doesnt appear).

Agreed that sounds like absolute rubbish. The writer of this article is obviously a hack (not hacker :p).

you must take into account that win7 is more taxing on your system then XP
