Hi

has anyone came accross this issue yet ?
If someone on my gigabit lan copies files from my pc, they max out 5-8MB/s
but if I copy it from my pc, to share on their PC, it copies at 90MB/s +
tested with windows copy and killcopy, swopped network cards, new network cable and gigabit switch, tested with old drivers, microsoft drivers, latest drivers.
FTP etc works full speed both ways.

only copying between windows shares that show these strange symptoms

any ideas? except formatting :P

nope, not a antivirus or firewall issue :(
also tested now with windows remote differential on and off

Try ....
under "Turn Windows Feature On or Off"
De-select/Untick "Remote Differential Compression"

Made a difference to my network as well as copying files to & from external USB ;)

try this as well .... lots of peeps have found this to help increase their copy speeds .....

How to Disable TCP AutoTuning and Receive Side Scaling

1. Open an elevated command prompt with administrator rights.
2. Type the following commands and press Enter (the second command on RSS is optional):

netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
netsh interface tcp set global rss=disabled
3. Reboot computer.

hmm, i found the issue, was the power saving feature, on the hardware properties window :)
yay, full speed ftw :P
