I installed Windows7 64bit (RC1 build 7100) over the weekend. Everything went fine but when I look at the resource window it says that I have 4GB of installed memory but that only 2GB is usable.

The mobo is a LANPARTY DK X58-T3eH6 with 4*1GB Mushkin RAM.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

might be a motherboard issue. how much ram does the system see with only a 1GB ram stick in it? is the memory identical?

yeah My windows 7 runs smoothly at home here have not had an issue as yet. I am running 8gb and it picks all of it up and all of it is usuable

Tried starting up with just 1gig of RAM and it wont allow me to boot.
Its the same brand and model of RAM. Got it from Prophecy at the same time.

I think it should be the memory remapping of RAM that needs to be enabled on the Mobo to see all 4GB.

From what I have read that sounds right, but Ill be damned if I know where that is in the BIOS as DFI were nice enough to keep their website and the manuals i received as vague as possible.
