Ordinary search button doesn't work. It is unable to find even internal commands. And you talk about Cortana nonsense...Luckily I don't spend my time staring at settings/CP all the time. Windows search/Cortana wil take care of that anyway.

I managed to find the real solution to this 8007000e windows update problem. And its darn simple too.
First of all, you do not need to switch off any firewall or windows defender or even anti virus programs.
Just follow the below steps:
1) Click Start
2) Type in Component Services
3) Select Services
4) Scroll down to 'Background Intelligent Transfer Service'
5) Right click and select Properties
6) Select Automatic instead of Automatic (Delayed Start)
7) Scroll down to 'Windows Update'
8) Right click and select Properties
9) Select Automatic instead of Automatic (Delayed Start)
10) Select Ok
Exit
Run the windows update again!
DONE !!
