Windows 7 rescue disk?

Bought a HP notebook for a friend however no rescue cd included I googled and came across a site that explain how to create one they tell you that you will require at least four DVD cd's but when I was done it only used one DVD cd....question why only one? Remember no other software loaded except those that were pre-installed.

Im guessing 1 dvd would be enough for just the basics?
