Ok since you say theres nothing really wrong with vista try this one.
Connect to a Cisco router using Vista.
Tell me again after you try that little common task that theres nothing wrong with it.
Vista is fine if you only use your computer to switch on and not do anything. As soon as you start trying to play a game (half of them wont run as they not compatible) or do anything really you start hitting issues. And dont even get me started on the DRM built into the pos.
One other thing. A clean install of XP SP2 uses about 400 MB of RAM, this is fine. A clean install of Vista idles at over 1.6 GB. 4 x more than XP, that i am sorry is just absolute carp. they can take vista and shove it somewhere thesun dont shine
Don't know what's up with your pc, but my Vista SP1 idles at about 512mb of ram.
