windows 7- vodafone and bitdefender 2012

i am at the end of my rope ...

bought an new dell inspiron n5110 laptop a mont ago running windows 7. also bought a new Vodafone K4605 modem which i installed and worked perfectly...however bought and loaded Bitdefender total defense 2012 last week which i have loaded and now my modem software is giving me a problem..
actions taken over the last couple of days
-uninstalled Vodafone modem software and reloaded..no joy
-installed vodeafone modem software on another laptop ...no problem could connect to the internet so problem not with the modem.
-installed again on the dell
-took laptop to a techie who reloaded windows 7 then Vodafone and we could connect..then loaded bit defender and now we cannot connect again.

I know that technically the Bitdefender should not have an impact on my abitlity to connect but have had two seperate experiences now whereby the modem and internet connection is fine before bitdefender is installed and then the problem starts after bitdefender is installed...ANY HELP PLEASE
 
Try taking Bitdefender off?
Rather use Microsoft Security Essentials. It is free and IMO better than your current AV.

Once that is all done, download Ccleaner here: http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER
(Run Cleaner & Registry options)

Run that and post back with your results
