Windows 8 installation failed

Same error. Eish, now I am getting gatvol! Am I the only one with this problem?

How far into the install does this happen? I had a similar error near the end when it said getting things ready, my error was due to the fact i chose a windows account instead of local. Its installed now, its fast, stable and no problem at all.

Stupid question. The touch function does not work anymore. What makes the touch screen works, the Nvidia drivers (does not seem likely) or the Microsoft Touch Pack?

Don't hold your breath. I hear Service Packs are a thing of the past.

Had the same issue, just restarted the installation process and it worked like a charm.

Same here. My first upgrade went fine, but the second laptop bombed out due to my WiFi going all funny. Redid it using my eth cable and everything went 100%.
