Makes me ask another question, why dont Microsoft use the tech, I mean they could just use the private tracker to stop people from spreading or uploading it to other sites.
It is ideal for releases like this, and you can supply as an optional method. I prefer torrents just because it is less prone to download errors, also bypasses the problem with some downloads that fail to resume.


On topic: Anyone seen the Xbox Live for Windows 8 demo? Looks like cross platform gaming getting very close indeed. Can you imagine continuing Xbox arcade games on your PC or phone or Xbox esp in games like say Torchlight.

Agreed. Not as if torrent/P2P downloads are illegal per se.
