This afternoon, a certified technician at a large retail outlet lamented lamented the numerous comebacks on Windows 8 64-bit, with peripheral devices including HP MFD's and printers suffering from driver incompatibility issues.


A quick glance at Apple forums reflect hardware compatibility issues as well. Having to hack into a Linux kernel is not my preferred pastime but we should be less complacent. Truth is that we all need to tweak something somewhere sometime to get it to work properly.

I'm still waiting for official Radeon HD6490M Windows 8 drivers that actually work.

Currently using third party drivers just to get the card to run in Windows 8.
