Windows button does not minimize applications

Hi guys,

I formatted my PC recently. Installed Windows 7 (64 Bit).
Since then when I have a full screen application open like Dota2 and i press the Windows button the start menu and task bar comes up but the desktop does not. If I then click the show desktop button on the task bar the desktop shows, but as soon as i click another window like explorer or skype or task manager even the full screen application that I tried to minimize goes full screen again with the newly selected window on top of it. Basically what this means is I can never minimize any full screen applications.

This is driving me crazy. Can anyone please give me some help on how to fix this?

Could be a bug if it's a pirate version that you are running.

Use alt-tab instead of windows key.

Normally a pirated copy is just a clone of an original disk, unless its some dodge copy.

I think the Windows itself is fine.

Been reading a lot and many people suggest that it might be driver or DirectX related. Maybe even the Aero peek function of windows. Will test tonight and give feedback.
