Ive had some building work done at my house over the past week or so.
They company is run by a gent called Paul who decided to setup his business about 4 years ago. He is a solid guy. Arrives on time, drives his own truck and supports close to 30 people from his small business. These guys work hard, have a laugh and really enjoy what they do despite the heat, dust, wind, concrete, poverty etc..
Really inspiring to me who sits in front of a laptop all day and moans about all kinds of meaningless nonsense.
He has registered his business, has a business banking account, so he is trying to do everything by the book. Ive decide that I would really like to help him and give hime some guidance and mentoring.
Hopefully pushing him onto greater things and seeing him succeed.
Ive setup a domain and email for him http://paulsrenovations.co.za (Im covering the costs) and have suggested some accounting tools like https://www.waveapps.com and https://invoice.zoho.com so he can do invoices and quotes quicker instead of excel and word docs. These platforms also have apps so he can do quick quotes from his phone if they are relatively quick.
The next step would be to get him a laptop of some sort so he can manage the business.
If anyone has a decent speck unused windows laptop sitting around gathering dust that they would like to part with I would be happy to pay for it or if your feeling very benevolent maybe you could donate it? I would happily pay courier fees, and give you updates on his progress if thats what you want.
