Windows Phone app recommendations / Must have apps?

Stopwatch Pro+
Lever Meter Pro+
Unit Converter Pro+
Recorder Pro+

Got them all in a folder on the start screen.

Why not just get #1 Toolkit. Has all that and more. He can remove the adds if he wants.

Why not just get #1 Toolkit.

I installed Jack of Tools Pro when it was free and prefer it to #1 Toolkit.

Chronos Calendar is much better than the default calendar app.

Copy n Paste Free is a wonderful utility for storing often used phrases.

I also have Jack of Tools Pro but don't use it. Lol.
I use Cal for calendar. Thanks for the heads up on copy n paste.

Here Maps all the way! A major advantage is that it uses off-line maps with voice guidance, no data usage. Goggle Maps uses data.

Here here, to Here maps. I use it as my heads up daily. In fact, every time I drive.

With Here Drive I always check how correct the speedometer of a car is. Old car's speedometer was off by about 10km/hr @ 60km/hr. New car is off by about 5km/hr @ 60km/hr. At 100-120km/hr 15-20km/hr and about 10km/hr off respectively. So, I drive at 136km/hr in new car according to my car's dial (about 125km/hr on Here Maps). Old car I did 140km/hr on the highway, waya waya. Not a single ticket - right in front of cameras.

I certainly get to work faster.

I stopped using a weather app, I now use Cortana

Do you mean the Bing weather app? Using cortana gives you the values in Fahrenheit, which you then need to give a second command to turn into real degrees.

Okay yeah, I do need to say give me that temperature in Celsius but I can't resist asking Cortana, "do I need a coat?"
