A friend of mine that is a professional photographer wants to move over to the mac platform. The only problem is that i cannot seem to find a printer driver for his Kodak 6800 Dye Sub printer. I dont want to install bootcamp or vmware cause this kinds of defeats the purpose of moving over to mac. Is there a way to install the printer via bonjour or some other way. Currently only windows drives is available for the printer. He does a lot of event photography where the people want prints at the function.

Any suggestions ?

Usually if there is no driver, there is no driver....u can try look for a linux driver though...i will browse a bit for you..

Thanks to the wonders of the new-fangled internet site Google try this lead.
Sounds like it costs a bit though.

How does this work on a Mac?

as in how do you use it? or how well does it work on the mac?

For using, read the linux help pages on the site, there are 3 installs u need to do. then u jsut find the drivers u need...

As in how well does it work? they usually give you an indication of how well the specific driver works for your printer. I find its pretty damn good most of the time.

Once you have installed the drivers, just add the printer as per normal, it picks it up..
