Over the past 2 months I have re-installed windows xp home sp2(original) 4 times. My problem is that as soon as I re-install and load all my drivers for my motherboard and printer it starts to say lxddamon.exe failed to initialise whenever I restart. That's not the end a few days later my windows itself stops working saying windows failed to initialise and insufficient memory for opening My Documents or anything else. There is nothing wrong with my hard drive as I have checked it has no corrupt sectors also I use nod32(fake).Please help!

lxddamon.exe has to do with your Lexmark printer.

Backup all your data, install Windows to the Hard Drive. Choose Quick format. I think you have a virus.

Can you use another disc?

What do you mean no32(fake)? Is it cracked? Is it a legal version?

Do not use cracked software. Rather get AVG Free.

Have you backed up your data?

Do you have a Lexmark printer?

Dude.
Do you roll up your windows, lock the doors, activate your car's alarm and immobilizer and then hand your keys, cellphone and wallet to the nearest "carguard" for safekeeping?

It has nothing to do with Windows itself. He means your car windows.

Well, is Windows now installed or are you going to install? What is the state of your machine?

Can you backup your data? Do you have an external drive?

Can you use another disc to install Windows?

Do you have another computer onsite?

Machine fairly new(8months old). Can't backup data since I have no external hard drive and is too much to put on dvd's.I can get another Windows disc.Although what is the most likely problem?

Do you have another computer on site?!

I would suggest running AVG Full Computer scan.

See if it finds anything.

Also see if there is any updates for the printer.

Okay well. You did have a virus. I think lets reinstall Windows again. Do not install the Lexmark software.

But the lexmark software is important or is it just a temporary thing.

You can change your operating system bootable computer disk and then you can reinstall operating system perfectly. If then your problem not solve then problem is in your hard disk so check your hard disk.
