Windows Server 2019 commands massively scalable and hardware-agnostic storage, networking and compute from a single interface, all while reducing your expenses.

Windows Server 2008 was limited to 64 logical processors, which by today’s standards leaves it in the slow lane for modern business operations.

  • Underlying your server’s performance is enough memory to cope with the load. 1TB of physical memory per server is yesterday’s news and the maximum Windows Server 2008 offered.

GDPR requires that all user data is protected as much as possible, leaving any potential risk of breaches a real legacy issue for those still running Windows Server 2008.

Non-compliance in terms of GDPR - GDPR requires businesses to take appropriate steps to prevent data breaches. This includes taking a modern approach to security and personal information.

Servers still running Windows Server 2008/R2 after End of Support run the risk of being completely unsupported and unprotected, as Microsoft will no longer provide security fixes after the EOS date of 14 January 2020.
