Servers still running Windows Server 2008/R2 after End of Support run the risk of being completely unsupported and unprotected, as Microsoft will no longer provide security fixes after the EOS date of 14 January 2020.

Windows Server 2008 operated when business demands were a fraction of what they are today and before the modern capabilities of the Cloud.

Underlying your server’s performance is enough memory to cope with the load. 1TB of physical memory per server is yesterday’s news and the maximum Windows Server 2008 offered.

  • GDPR requires that all user data is protected as much as possible, leaving any potential risk of breaches a real legacy issue for those still running Windows Server 2008.

Windows Server 2019 commands massively scalable and hardware-agnostic storage, networking and compute from a single interface, all while reducing your expenses.

  • Windows Server 2008 was limited to 64 logical processors, which by today’s standards leaves it in the slow lane for modern business operations.
