Windows Update Servers

Is it just me or does anyone else have problems connecting to the windows update servers using vodacom?

I have this one client who manages to need .net 3.5 and its ALWAYS a mission to get it installed, and windows only installs .net over the internet and refuses to let you download it, though i have never got it right to download, only having to install it via the CD and every time i manage to forget how it gets done...
