Thisyes, this. Try different media or recreate the boot image.
The fact that its showing the spash screen says that its booting ok. Just might be the image that is borked.

After leaving the install overnight it was stuck on Copying Windows Files (0%). I booted back to Parted Magic, deleted all the old partitions on the HDD (one I harvested from another machine when upgrading that to a SSD) and saw there was another 32GB drive. After reading about the cache issues (posted a link earlier) I deleted the partition on that drive too. Install seems to be working now.
I can't quite remember. It was late, and I was tired. All working sweetly now though.Did you delete all the partitions inside the windows installation window and then click it and select next the first time round.
