Hi, the laptop got a new screen and motherboard.
The font is different than it use to be, but readable. Can I change it somewhere. I know of control panel / display, is that it.

Change your screen resolution to that of the "native" screen resolution of the laptop. Did you load the graphics drivers again?
What laptop is it?

Try:
- Right-click on the desktop, choose Properties
- Click on the Settings tab
- What is showing under "Screen Resolution"? Move the slider to the native resolution of your screen (common resolutions are 1440x900 or 1366x768 or 1920x1080)
- Click Apply

- Click on the Appearance tab, then click on Effects...
- Make sure that the tickbox "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts:" is ticked
- Click OK
- Click Apply and OK
