XP was a good little operating system... still is.

But it's time has come.

There is now no longer any reason to keep it around.

One of the best operating systems to ever come out of the Microsoft stable.

Windows 7 is now the way forward for MS.

Goodbuy XP my little buddy.

Your installations were sometimes tricky and your blue screens were mean but i loved the challenge and was always paid well for helping others fix their issues.

Now 7 is here, the rightful successor and the installs were made so easy that i lost alot of business.:(

*Raises his mug of tea to XP*

Cheers my dear little friend.

*Sobs quietly behind his monitor*:crying:

..poor performance of Windows Vista and the popularity of Linux-based netbooks.

I have not seen one Linux-based netbook in my life ...

I purchased the Acer aspire netbook with linpus Linux and returned it the next day.

It was awful!

Then i got the Dell with XP and was far happier[I don't hate Linux just Linpus]

So Microsoft no longer sells or supports XP, but you still need a legit copy/licence/key to install it? **** that.

I broke my virginity on XP. I remember getting all sweaty when i had to reinstall, the first few times. But as they say, it gets better with practice.

Now i do not scare from installing any OS, then again OSX wil be my next conquest

I wonder if that means there will no longer be updates available?
They ran with Windows 2000 updates for quite a while.

Goodbye XP... :( We have shared many fond memories...
