Winrar prob with a 8GB Linux distro

I'm assuming you're not trying to uncompress onto a FAT32 partition? That will only accept >2GB files.
 
I have a few downloads like that where the icon is not displayed and the file cannot be extracted. Corrupted as far as I can tell. Try using the par files to fix/redownload the bad parts.
 
Those filenames look more like a RELOADED release of Need For Speed - Hot Pursuit,in which case you should grab the sfv/par files to test the archives and verify integrity ;)
 
And yes Winrar only associates itself upto a certain point with .rxx files and the rest will have no icons
 
As for the error message,you need to download the .rar file which is the FIRST archive in the download,that error is complaining that you are trying to extract r00 which is the 2nd ;)

Sounds like a newsgroups download. You'll need the par files to get recovery blocks.
 
lol, noob error, forgot to copy the .rar file into the new directory, had a lot of junk in there so I didnt pick it up right away. Been cruizing from the cops ever since, thanks community.
