Winter Skin

Install a water softener - the kind that works with an exchange resin, regenerated by salt. They are expensive, but well worth it. I used to have the same problem (Bloemfontein winters are the worst!), now hardly need any moisturiser.

+1 for that

you know blu .... you should ask mr blu to help, cause you know what else they say is good for the skin ......

Never mind pics, this thread needs video
Really - you want pics of my winter induced grand canyon deep cracked heals?

Which I repair with super glue and duck tape :)

but, still - isn't it a bit excessive?

I learnt the hard way. Anything less and my skin is really

Stop being nasty to Shaun, he probably has some good tips there. It will take half an hour to do all that, though!!/QUOTE]

Its winter blu! I don't have half an hour to spare. Once you get used to the routine it speeds up.

And remember I am still a guy so it's quick and practical :p

Bayby oil makes me go dryer than before. Then i read this and it makes sense to me. So when i have time i make my own body scrub.

Quote: I would not recommend mineral oil (baby oil) because this will not penetrate into the skin like the other oils will. Mineral oil is pore-clogging and once it evaporates your skin may be left looking dryer than before you used it.

Love body scrubs! Have a lavender one from Body Shop, hmmm.

I have been accused on Mbb of being amish:o

But i save all my left over coffee from the coffee machine and make a scrub with that.

But, but it's water that hydrates the skin not lotions.

If you're a hectic coffeedrinker, in the winter you should have a
glass of water/juice for every 4th cup of coffee to hydrate.

or drink a glass of water/juice just before going to bed, if you hydrate a bit more, your winterskin should bounce back, unless
you have heaters on at home.

(and a bit of extra Vit C should help)
