Don't care about Wired or Forbes, but as a test I checked them out and it seems they can't pick up uBlock Origin, for now anyway. Of course, you could just block their advertising networks in your hosts file and turn off your ad blocker on their sites

You still don't get it. When you get spam in the mail the company already paid the post office to deliver you the mail. So throwing it away has no affect on anything. Unlike adblock.

Google cache.
I blame websites for the way they place ads. Most websites have ads in almost every dam white space and even worse . Just say if you searched "buy chromecast". You will be swarmed with targeted ads from every angle.
Very annoying.
The only way I see it. If they place less ads at higher rates. Just because you have a white space doesn't mean you need a Google Targeted Ad there.
And no video auto play ads or pop up ads on websites. That must be banned. Even those get rich quick scams all must stop.

They have been going since 1993 albeit only in print at first.

I think you can expand that to other websites too. I don't know how everyone expects things to be free forever.
They bitch if there are adverts, and indiscriminately block adverts no matter how they are displayed. While getting on this BS moral high horse of 'if they displayed their ads better then I wouldn't block them'
And then they bitch when there are paywalls, which is one the results of adblocking. The other result is that the quality of the content suffers.....which is something else that will be bitched about
