I'm looking to replace the batteries in a couple of my old wireless headsets, including a Corsair HS70 Pro and a Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wireless.

I've managed to find a matching model for the Corsair at Communica (https://www.communica.co.za/products/li-poly-battery-3-7v-1100mah?variant=17184747225161)

However, the Sennheiser battery is pretty custom and a lot smaller (looks like it is approximately 40mm x 25mm). There is this battery from Micro Robotics that matches those dimensions pretty well (https://www.robotics.org.za/802540?search=800mah). However, this is only a 2 wire battery and the original Sennheiser battery has 3 wires. I believe the 3rd wire is for connecting to a thermistor to monitor battery temperatures.

Would it be ok to replace it with the 2 wire battery? If not, does anyone know where I can get a 3 wire battery matching those dimensions?

Bit of topic but i also need to replace batteries on a JBL BT500. Any assistance on how to do this?

Looks like this will match your model:

It will be a similar approach for most headphones:
  1. Remove earpads to gain access to screws
  2. Unscrew and remove cap on the battery side (taking care to not damage the small wires connecting to the audio driver)
  3. Pry the older battery from the device (it is often stuck on with adhesive)
  4. Replace with a new battery making sure the output Voltage matches.
The benefit is that you can replace it with a larger capacity battery as long as it will fit.
