Wireless ISP

Okay ODS, looks like you are ignoring our questions. All we want to know is on what frequency are you going to do this, and do you have the legal document so sell such a service over that frequency?

Skydog: Yes, the connection is free. Access to your own dedicated phone number is also free, voice mail etc will remain free as well. We are also looking at providing a free email address and this will also be for free.

Please PM me with all the details i need to get set up. I'm gatvol of Telkom and the rest. I'm in Midrand, hope that helps me for once. And I dont care about ICASA, because they dont care about me. I will help spread the word if I find your service to be reliable and affordable.

Forget I said anything, you take too long to respond. I'll just have to order ADSL.

Service is the name of the game, waiting for an payment at the end of the month isn't were service end.

This is no way to advertise a new venture.

Exactly. I think he just killed any new business from this site. I don't think he realizes that this will eventually be picked up on google searches.

And the bad thing is they are a isp selling adsl, so what does this say about their service!

To Answer your questions.

1. We will be using 2.4 and 5.6-5.8. We have applied to use 4.2 GHz, but I can assure you it will be denied.

2. All the equipment is ICASA approved

3. No WISP or any other ISP has ever been granted a license to operate a Wireless business besides (MTN, Vodacom, Iburst, Sentech)

4. We have chosen wireless as well as ADSL, we want to be able to offer what the client wants not only DSL products.

I can assure you that this is no mickey mouse set-up, the system will be designed around International standards and will carry SLA's. The system design is to carry VoIP / Data to our gated sites. However we have decided to share our spare capacity.

Will you be using RB's (Routerboards) and radios like the cm9 and r52???????

Were you expecting an answer in under a week? HAHAHAHA, sorry i just had to :D

Not realy, but had to get my question in, as far as I now mikrotik routerboards aren't Icasa approved. I have seen roles and roles of Icasa approved stickers at vendors that they just stick to the products.

You don't own 2.4 and 5.6 - 5.8 Ghz, and ICASA will not entertain any complaints of interference in those bands.
So how can you provide SLA's in a band that you have no control over?
