Morning all,

Please could someone help me clarify something. I am pretty sure this has been covered before, however i'm still unsure of the procedure regarding regulations with going over public roads. From my understanding is that, you have to have some "exempt" license if you are not using the links to make money, and some other license if you will be selling services over the links?

I am essentially wanting to setup a high site, 3 sectors and have them in the 20/40mhz frequency with a radius of +-10 klm to the stations at various customer locations. Primary reason is for offsite cctv monitoring and network administration.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi flying_sheep you will need licensing for this.

License exempt will not apply for this purpose AFAIK.

You will technically be making money with these, because you will be providing a service/getting money for it indirectly.

Get in touch with Ralph from Ellipsis to clarify the issue for you.

Many thanks for the info, i will give him a shout.

Please stick to 20Mhz channels if you have no need for the added bandwidth. Keep that spectrum use efficient ;)
