Wish me luck!

Hi guys,

Well, I just got back and all I can say is that it went far better than what I had imagined. I did as best I could and I overall I was happy with how it proceeded.

But on a more realistic note, the fact of the matter remains that this is a highly politicised process, and at the end of the day we have to be realistic about the chances of a unknown youngster like me making it through to the 5 candidates who are appointed. Of course there is a desperate need for the consumer to have a voice - but right now we have done all we can in this matter.

I have more to say, but perhaps a little later.

Thanks for the support all!
Debbie

i think the unknown youngster has already taken a big step forward

Hell i would of elected you as pres after reading that post :D. I swear i will add your election into meal-time grace if that's what it takes to get you elected. That and start knocking off all the ANC members who are mysteriously appointed onto the council (i would of done that anyway :p)

Good freakin luck!

Debbie, you may still be an unknown youngster this time around but if you don't make it this time but the next council elections your political stock will be much higher.

You'll get there and you have already done yourself proud.

Congrats

Good Luck

All the best wishes Debbie for the outcome.

Hope you had enough Airtime and Bubblegum, otherwise I am sure you did famously. :)

Damn, debs, looks like I'm too late!! :(
I was with you in spirit tho ;)
Great to hear it went very well.
Good luck further with the rest of the process :)

Go Debs! Glad to hear the interview went well for you.
Like you say, ICASA definitely needs a place for the consumer voice and you're the most fitting person....now we just wait for them to make you councillor. ;):D

Rumour has it that Dene Smuts said that Debbie is so far left she makes Helen Suzman look right.

Only joking.

Good luck Debbie. Hope you get the job so that we have at least someone in an important position in SA telecoms who doesn't put their bank account first when making decisions.
