Wisp in Kimberley

I was wondering if there is a wisp provider in Kimberley?

Google does not give me any wisp there but maybe someone on there wisp reads these forums, and could give me a link to a wisp website, thanks.

if i were you i'd take netstumbler + laptop and drive around kby.

check the SSID's , usually you'll see any tipe of WISP having a unique name other than default/wlan-ap/marconi/netgear/yournetworkname/siemens <- those are common home wifi/ADSL wifi id's....

anything else is worth a google afterwards.

why not get ADSL - KBY has got it - unless you are 2 far away from exchange

Well telkom tunes me there is no infrastructure for adsl apparently, yet when I checked the old telephone number it says adsl is available.
So was just looking for a temp wisp to use.

Apply officialy and wait for the reponse, put up a notice at a nearby supermarket or local newspaper
to see if their is service in the area

Better choice to try and apply for ADSL, WiSP service here in George
are too congested, and its cheaper to get an Afrihost or DigiChilli
account with pretty dedicated bandwidth and not oversubscribed
WiSP using Business DSL lines.
Read this forum for the WiSP giving good & bad service

Thanks Kilos will do as soon as we are there its kind of hard trying from kzn.
Yeah wisp was my last choice.
