Wisp pricing check

Hi guys

After 2 weeks of telkom outage at my exchange 50m from the house telkom sent a mail saying they are not going to repair the line so everyone in the area is cut off... So I'm looking at a wisp in my area (between Sabie and Hazyview) and would like you guys to review there prices.

The only provider I could find is Xpress (used by neighbor) offers a 1mb speed with 5:1 ratio and a 300gb FUP for R1250

Is this pricing in line with other Wisps? Seeing I'm not spoiled for choice do any of you know of other WIPS in my area, I am waiting for replys from WAPA.
 
What do you mean they wont repair it? Was it stolen too many times?

Its actually ridiculous, there was line-brake 2 weeks back that they did not repair it correctly.So seems like they can't (don't have the know how) fix it so they sent an email stating the line is not going to be repaired and the can look at other wireless options...

The line was stolen too many times so they installed a fiber line from hazyview (our nearest town) a year back. I find it utterly wasteful that they would abandon their infrastructure so easily. To make it worse a few of the farms in the area (including us) dug cable trench from the exchange at our own cost just so we can have the adsl... But this is Africa what can you do?
