Witchfest 2015

Who do you guys expect to be / think is on the line-up for Witchfest 2016?
 
Well Konkhra have already been confirmed.

I think WD will keep it diverse like they did this year - some straight up Death Metal, some metalcore-y type stuff, some black metal, something the leans towards the power / heavy metal side of the spectrum.
 
fuark I have Septicflesh's Prometheus edged into my brain, when they played it live for us...I'll never forget that moment...
 
With camping it does get a bit pricey...

But you are seeing 9 international bands and it costs a lot of money to bring those bands out...

Yeah understandably considering no sponsorship. Was it confirmed that only 9 international bands are playing?

This year it was 12 international bands with another 28 local bands. It's going to be interesting to see them match another 40 new ones.
 
Think they are cutting down on the number of bands in general.

5 local acts per day - and then 3 internationals per day.

Think this is so that each band can get more stage time - 2015 was a little rushed.

Yeah you are right, most sets were rushed.

I will be waiting for all international band announcements before I commit.
 
Tickets paid for - my poor, poor credit card - It needs to be dragged out back and shot.
 
RAMfest are making a scene on Facebook now over their proposed dates, saying it's not an attack on Witchfest. Can't link it here (blocked at work), but check it out. The dates they want are at the same time that Witchfest will be on (last weekend of March). Tbh, I'd go for Witchfest without a moment's hesitation.

RAMFest can eat a dick.

If you even have to consider which of them you want to go to you are better off at RAMFest.
 
Why do they care so much? Horrible PR. Witchfest is much smaller and caters for completely different people...now they talk about "living in harmony" BS.
 
I think WDP realised that with Witchfest tickets going on sale now - not many people would be able to afford going to the At The Gates gig...

It's quite cool that they are bringing out new and lesser known bands.
 
And so it looks like Rotting Christ are the next band to be confirmed.
