Wits students protest over tuition fee increase

SASCO fker saying law needs to be changed concerning institutional autonomy allowing government to regulate universities and do something about stellenbosch university having too many whites. Of course its a race issue. This is south africa :twisted:

SASCO had nothing to do with the protests against fee increases in the beginning, they're just jumping on board now for the points.

Many people talking about the struggle and " black debt" etc. Also noticed a few signs that referenced apartheid. I didnt make it a racial thing, some of the students on tv did. I thoughts the wits sign referred to white people. I came to that conclusion from watching some of the students on tv and watching the clip of the young lady venting to Zille.

Poverty isnt exclusive to black people so I hate it when people play the blame game. It isnt my fault that a university also means white in Afrikaans.

I am 1 of the people that will "keep it real".

Of course there is a racial issue. I cant be fake and will always state my opinion.
 
Oh for sure. There will be an income tax increase. And Zuma will still get the credit for solving the fees issue. And these students will demand free tuition. Taxpayer will pay it all, namely mostly the sh-tty middle class.

And at the end there will be more disenchanted students with worthless degrees with no jobs. The few with decent degrees - accounting, medicine and engineering will probably emigrate. Well done.

Lol Kammies blew his top today. Some dude sent him a pretty innocuous message about the OB yesterday from UCT, which hurt his feelings.

There wont be many people in the middle class at this rate.Maybe the definition of middle clasa will be redefined. Have you seen the exchange rate lately?

The general concern was around fee increases while each university did have its own concerns thrown into the mix.
The media also had some distorted views, focusing more on the violent protesters and less on peaceful ones.

I do. I contribute a heck of a lot to this economy too, and a lot of my work is paid for by the US govt and foreigners i.e. foreign revenue we get. And yes I can work in the EU tomorrow for at least 3x what I earn now.

Unlike you, I'm a realist.
