Die Valke sal verder ondersoek instel ná ’n oënskynlike ontploffing binne ’n Woolworths-winkel by ’n winkelsentrum in Bloemfontein.

The Hawks will continue to investigate an apparent explosion inside a Woolworths store at a shopping centre in Bloemfontein.

Police, including the explosives unit and police dogs, were deployed to the store in Preller Plein on Friday morning (29/5). The entire centre was closed to determine whether any secondary explosive devices had been planted.

The affected section of the shopping centre remains cordoned off as a crime scene, while other parts of the shopping centre are open to the public.

Is this a certain group possibly bombing them due to their Israeli tomatoes or whatever it is?
If it is a directed hit it’s weird no ones claiming responsibility

It could be - firstly they have always targeted Woolies with this angle and secondly its typical.

It seems so random though... can't think of what context would make this happen right now.

Probably someone from one of the two companies that went bust when Woolies cancelled the supply contract, that lost their job

They target woolies and shop there at the same time?

We are all complex people.... also I was actually thinking of BDS not Muslims per se.

I actually have big thoughts on this and my unpopular opinion is that most Muslims don't actually support things like BDS and Free Palestine, they just comply on a surface level as part of that community but privately they have less strong feelings.

This is also a general observation, not only Muslims - we all do this at a group level.

My evidence for this specific case is how well the DA did in the last elections. There was a lot of people saying that the DA were agents of Israel and that story got a lot of traction.
This did not reflect in the votes at all.... especially in Muslim communities. Also there were plenty of other parties to vote for with Pro Palestine agendas and also with Anti DA agendas and none of those parties featured.

On an individual level those big issues had no support. It loops back to Woolies as well because BDS has been targeting them for years but the Hallal isle is still pumping.

I had to google BDS as I thought it might be something like:
