Woolworths SA refuses to back down from supporting Pride Month

This thread was destined to take a dive. I don't even see the Pride things, but I do know when push comes to shove, and it kinda goes both ways in Pride campaigning.

I don't like to be asked to be an ally; my allyship is earned. This is my only opinion; my choice reigns supreme.

All in all, I don't see reason to boycott Woolworths, unless they throw me into the right because I didn't accept being an ally.

I hear you but this shouldn't be a left vs right thing...

Let's all just accept our differences, whether they are who we are attracted to, who be believe in, which sport teams we support, and the list goes on.

You don't have to be an ally, but people shouldn't make life worse for LGBTQ+ people.

It shouldn't be, but it is in the advertisement. I have long studied people, and somewhere in the 2000s the political spectrum became entrenched in the human's mindset. My opinion on the spectrum is that it is toxic; more so intoxicated, others get to place you. It is very divisive.

100% with you on this. Again, I have to highlight that all sides have their gospel. I mean, you contribute on this board, the evidence is in the discussion, or should I say dialogue?

People need to accept. Just because someone is not your ally doesn't mean that they are your enemy. I said it, my allyship is earned, and it can also be read as trust, respect, etc.

It is a big ask, there is a balance to things. Just to quote one trait Woolworths says an ally must have:

Yes. That's true. On the one hand, we have people who want to live their lives, in this case everyone, and on the other hand a group of people who wish to harm LGBTQ+ people and restrict their rights.

I don't want people to care what people's sexualities or identities are. I want people to care that everybody should be treated fairly and equally.
