World SMS speed record broken

you guys assume that they trained ( they might have) but most teens generally become fast typers after having a phone for a wile because everybody hates waiting long for a reply on mxit.
And after a wile longer you can even type without looking at the screen/keyboard
 
Never mind the worthlessness of being able to text so fast.... Am impressed by the prize money (thoughts on what I could do with that kind of money). :whistle:
What does an event like this aim to achieve - marketing and brand awareness of course. This is the future so I would not be surprised to see it as an Olympic event :erm:

Approx 132 characters per minute or 26.4 words per minutes using two fingers which is a little over one fifth the world typing speed record using a regular keyboard and 10 fingers - go figure
