I totally agree. Can't they learn to play a instrument or just some hobby instead doing that. To be honest it is not a achievement to boast about.
And I can take you a bet that it is broken words any way.

Approx 132 characters per minute or 26.4 words per minutes using two fingers which is a little over one fifth the world typing speed record using a regular keyboard and 10 fingers - go figure
