World War 3 begins

No human contact. Adjusted my scope a few degrees lower to Asian setting. Getting by with my urine filter until the Klipdrift arrives.

Day 12: Its quiet... almost too quiet, what could those short Asains be planning, i wonder if resources have been allocated to an underground attack...

If we surrender will we get real broadband?

Thursday. Nightfall. Ready to surrender under the might of this silent, sneaky NK onslaught. Most of my daylight hours are spent learning Korean from a S/Korean TV user guide. Yet it is the hours of darkness that are the hardest. Constant attacks of blind panic wake me. Last night I woke shouting, '배터리는 포함되어 있지 않습니다!'. Are the rumours true? Do we need to buy our own?

Are you in NK, then? NK has poor internet infrastructure. SK is the king, because everything is new and they're currently booming, until China ramps up the quality and turns them in Japan II (junior).

So... whens this 3rd world war meant to start Killa?

Is this going to be like marine1`s NKoren post... where WW3 is a no show?

Worst WW3 ever.

It's another new day, peered out - no mushroom clouds - yet.
The hydroponic weed plantation in my bunker is becoming a little troublesome now, need to creep out for a machete and a few packets of Rizla (in the interests of quality control).
On the upside, my tan from all the UV lighting in here will soon qualify me for one of those lucrative BBBEE-whatever positions in government.
Also tired of drinking my own pee !!!

Word war 3? Lol, hardly. WW3 will happen over something like the island disputes, not over North Korea.

I think marine1 made a similar post... last year or the year before. Over the exact same issue! As per usual.. it never happens.

How do you figure that?

Saw a bright glowing orange ball the other day. Thought it was North Korean nuke exploding over Calais. Fortunately it was just the sun showing itself for the first time in months .....

How do you figure that?
Because of the tensions and players involved.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spratly_Islands (this dispute involves several countries )

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Senkaku_Islands (Japan and China)

Those Islands all have LOTS of energy natural resources off them. There is some serious posturing and sprats breaking out. China wants that energy. The only thing stopping them from taking those resources are the Allies of all the other countries in dispute with it.

That part of the world reminds me of WW1. A whole lot of treaties that would draw other players into the game and a whole lot of disputed areas.

Here is a quick break down on Spratly Island news:

News for Senkaku Islands:

As you can see... thats a volcano of issues just waiting to erupt.

What's your take on the India/China/Nepal border issue? I reckon it's a bigger worry at the moment - the history runs deep there and I reckon India wouldn't miss an oppotunity to show how far they've come since the Sino-Indian war.

To me less of a concern. They`ll badger each other over it for aq while, but I have not seen significant energy resources there that would drive someone to expend all their political capital on the issue. The island disputes are driven by an energy grab.

True that, though actually being there and listening to the rhetoric of the average joe, they're crazy patriotic (at least on the Indian side)... that said, they're not the type of nation to want to flex their muscle unnecessarily... China on the other hand...

Bunker Diary
Day 853

The weed experiment was a resounding success, until I realized that in the interests of maintaining standards, my extensive quality control testing had depleted the entire crop. I also came to realise, the more testing that was done - the less I cared about war breaking out.
I was also running short on liquids - it was then that I had an epiphany. Cactus !!
I once read something about a Dr Hoffman & peyote cactus - I also recalled an article about drinking from the Agave cactus.
My work was once again cut out for me - the side effects from the week experiment seemed to be hindering progress, I would get started, than have to sit down, relax & take a nap - quite often !

The cactus plantation is coming on splendidly - it's not as user friendly as the weed as I now resemble my grandmother's pin cushion.
The Agave provides plenty to drink I must say.
Again, in the interests of standards, the Peyote has been subjected to rigorous testing.

I have observed, during testing periods, the bunker tends to get crowded & noisy, not sure how everybody is finding their way in though.
I don't remember much of Monday, Tuesday, but on Wednesday, Yoko Ono popped in with a steel marching band.
She performed her rendition of her late husband's classic "Imagine" together with her band - I shan't be buying her single !! But I wonder if she can perform anything by that Bieber chick ?
Then on Thursday, out of the blue, the South African leg of Nascar was held here. It was entertaining and very very noisy with all those cars racing around the track - but the neighbors did not complain once.
Yesterday, Friday, King Edward popped in. He found the bunker not too objectionable & proposed we hold a fox hunt here.
Amid a great deal of "tally-ho'ing we were off. The hunt was on.
I must have fallen off my horse & hit my head on a tree or something, cause when I woke up, the hunt was over, King Edward and his folk had left and I was lying on the floor naked - but covered in gooseberry jam.

I fear this may be my last entry, as there are 2 police cars, an ambulance & folk in white coats carrying a big net, hovering around outside.
