I think Google can be forgiven for not being as "sticky" as Yahoo. They are in the business of providing information quickly. IMO it is not a bad thing that they are not as sticky.

In comparison, South Africa's largest site is News24.com which attracts up to 1.9 million unique readers a month.

With dynamically assigned IP addresses how are unique readers identified?
What is transmitted that allows the uniqueness of a reader to be established? The MAC address?

The Chinese use a different search engine to Google, forgot the name. I'm sure that search engine gets more hits than google.

In some places Google isn't used a lot, eg Japan whose user's use Yahoo predominantly.
