World's first wireless graphics card

It would be cool if they released a battery powered tablet style screen that could be used in tandem with the card, portability of a tablet around the house but with the possessing power of a desktop
I use my iPad as an external display for my laptop when I need extra screen space but for what you're talking about wouldn't vnc be a better solution?

What happens if you have 2 of the receivers?

Like I have one and my neighbor has one too, could i watch what he is watching?

Possibly will be like WiFi network, where you will need to select network and enter password.

Isn't there WHDI kits for this kinda thing? Plug a transmitter into your video card and a receiver on the TV side (if your TV do not support WHDI)

It's amazing how much stuff we beam around now on wavelengths that have never been generated on earth before. But I can see at least three obvious downsides to wireless domination: inefficiency (i.e. higher power draw), heat (at high enough powers these antennae will cook stuff), and noise (but I guess this can be dealt with).

Wires win except when the connection is temporary and running wires is impracticable.

Does it transmit audio as well? Or is that another device you have to buy?

A cable transmits audio and video. I don't see a reason why it wouldn't transmit audio, as it's just a cable replacement. If it doesn't, that's an epic fail.

Um simply buy a PS3 and install PS3 Media server.
It enables you to share all video on your PC with your PS3 and stream anything your PC can play codec wise to the PS3.
Will cost you much much cheaper plus all the extras a PS3 brings like 3d content support, the odd ps3 game, etc

It helps if you have a PC that does all your media, and you have your own dedicated space for the PC. Now you can stream your HD movies et al to your TV from the next room.

Question is... does your kb/mouse reach... can you still use your monitor next door without moving stuff? How many receivers are there?
