Hi Guys

I can import PC hardware from Japan. I would be more than half price of the same here in SA.

The problem would be the warranty. Would you buy something like that ?

Yes, I would consider it under certain conditions. It must work when it gets here ie I wont pay until it at least works. And it must match specs of its replacement product verifiably. So if the specs state 10 million transistors it cant be 8 million.

If you are talking about the same range of products I am thinking about just a word of caution. The previous questions are based on experience. I could get any PC product from Japan a couple of years ago even branded with my logo but corners are cut in the manufaturing process. So be carefull.

If corners are cut in the japanese manufacturing process I have no hope for the rest of the world :(

Maybe some of you guys don't understand something.

The makes are all as we have it local.

Nvidia, SATA etc.

The reason I'm asking is that i'm looking at importing some of these stuff. Brand new and sealed. I was in doubt about the sales power of this without any warranty. But yea I can get them here and sell them for a profit.

Why don't you just give us a link to the Japan website? ;) :D :p

Well there is some other glitches...

1. U need a buyer on the other side.
2. U need a reliable company to reinforce the packaging and post it to you via air or Sea.
3. Is the stess of hoping it gets here

You said more than half the price, so offer full replacement warranty.
If it fails again, you're going to have to send that product back.

I hear u.

The thing is out of box failure I could do... However something like 2 week then fail or repairs.. That I can't, any ideas ?

Okay, based on all that info, I won't buy it ;) :p :D

But that's just me dude, and I don't have mula anyways, so ignore me ;)

So your saying you can afford that ? Ok it doesn't include post and package but lets say I add @ most R 2000 for that R 4600 is it a bad price ?

So you're wanting to land things without warranty and slap a huge profit on it?

Doesn't sound right to me. R2600 add 25% and let them fly, that way a lot of people wouldn't worry too much about the warranty. But be warned, if you sold me a dud CPU I would hunt you down;)

I would be interested in certain items, mainly below R1500 in value.

Lol dude, I said I do not have mula :D ;) :p

Jack is a broke student pirate bro, I can't read Japanese either, can you? :p

I probably wouldn't buy expensive stuff without a warranty but for cheaper stuff it'd be worth taking a chance. :)

Ok the R 2600 is the purchase price then shiping and packaging need to be added. But this is a whole unit.

Shiping for a GFX card would prob. be about R 500 and lets say the purchase price on a 8800 series is lets say R 2500 + 500 that is R 3k Let's say I add 25%+14% R 4275.00

Is that a bad price ?

I'm just looking into a business option so this is not a certainty yet but I would love your input !

if you sold me a dud CPU I would hunt you down;)

It will be shop based so it will not be a fly by night business.

And if I was to replace a out of box failure ?

What is the odds of a Nvidia 8800 series card crashing after it's in and running ?

I would suggest if you do decide to go ahead, to start for instance with the cheaper gfx cards instead of the 8800gtx

Thanx.

I'm thinking of buying about R 100k worth of PC parts of all shapes and sizes. I was just using an example.

But yea. I don't want to go and sit with R 100k worth of PC parts if they're not selling would be worthless in 1 year :D
